When You Just Need Someone Who Gets It

In It For The Long Run

You’ve probably had to explain yourself over and over again. Maybe support hasn’t worked before. Maybe it felt rushed. Maybe no one ever asked what you wanted.

We’ve built Holicare for moments like that - and people like you.

The nurses on our staff are available for when things get tricky medically - we know what to do without calling someone else in.

We’re a friendly, inclusive support provider. Our values are built around giving participants the most choice and control over what their support looks like.

You get to decide how your support works. We listen and adapt.

What You’ll Notice

We don’t have a “preferred client.” We support people with disabilities, complex behaviours, and high mental health needs. You’re welcome just as you are.

If your support needs are layered or complex - we won’t step away. We’ll find a way that works.

Many of our participants have:

  • Been turned away by other providers

  • Spent time in hospital with no clear plan

  • Needed PEG feeding, catheters, palliative care, or wound support
  • Lived with psychosis, schizophrenia, paranoia, or trauma

  • Tried other programs but never felt safe or included

Our Way of Doing Things

We don’t run things like a machine and we won’t assume what’s best for you. We ask what matters most - then we listen.

Every part of Holicare is shaped by real feedback. From the staff we hire to the programs we run - we’re always asking, “Does this feel right for you?”

  • If you’ve ever been paired with a coordinator you didn’t choose…
  • If you’ve ever been told “this is how it’s done”…
  • If you’ve ever had support that made things worse…

You’ll notice the difference here.

Hands-On Leadership

Holicare is led by people who’ve done the hard yards. They’re not behind desks - they’re in homes, hospitals, and drop-in spaces.

William is a Registered Nurse and our Director.

He trains both staff and participants in medical tasks.

He’s calm and practical and often out in the community, helping people.

We Back Our Staff So They Can Back You

We’re serious about the people we bring on. We only hire people who care. We don’t just ask about qualifications. We ask about patience, honesty, and initiative.

Once they’re in, we train them well.

That includes:

  • Supervised practice

  • Ongoing education

  • Support to move up in the organisation

We don’t do one-off shifts or high staff turnover. We build long-term teams - you won’t have a new face every week.

You’ll have someone who knows you - and wants to know more.

How This All Began

We got tired of watching people fall through the gaps. So we started something that runs on honesty and choice.

Somewhere that makes space for everyone - not just the easy clients. People that stick around, even when things are tough.

There’s no script here. There’s no pressure to act a certain way.

A Comfortable Place to Come To

Our main office is at 35/2 King Street, Deakin ACT. Right next to the NDIS building, with plenty of parking.

It’s pet-friendly, too. We know animals bring comfort - they’re part of the family.

You don’t need an appointment to visit, either. Just come by when it suits you.

We’ll explain things clearly and let you take your time.
